We seek to bring holistic care to the community under one roof through cross-NGO partnership to help people thrive
At Community Dreams Alliance (CDA), we believe in addressing the diverse needs of our community by working collaboratively with organizations that share our passion for service. Through these partnerships, we provide a range of resources and support, creating a space where individuals and families can access the help they need to flourish.
Food Pantry
Operational for over 5 years, we serve more than 15,000 households annually. By adopting a “client choice” model, community members can select the food items that best suit their needs. This will reduce food waste while honoring the dignity and preferences of every family, ensuring that our pantry is a resource where everyone feels welcome and empowered.
Homeschool Classes
These classes will provide families with flexible, accessible learning options, enriching the educational experiences of children in our community at central locations in DeKalb County. They will be provided in partnership with the DeKalb Christian Home Educators (DCHE), a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality educational alternatives.
Job Training & Workforce Development
We are equipping individuals with the skills they need to succeed in today’s workforce. Specifically, we want to work with formerly incarcerated individuals, unemployed youth, and community members seeking to upskill for more technical and in-demand jobs. By offering practical, hands-on training, we empower individuals to secure meaningful employment and build better futures.
Coffee Shop & Internet Café
Our coffee shop and internet café will serve as a welcoming environment for community members of inclusion, collaboration and opportunity - a space to gather without barriers. With free Wi-Fi and a relaxed atmosphere, this space will be open to everyone—from students studying for exams to professionals working remotely.
